Cancer Update from Johns-Hopkins
Bottled water in your car is very dangerous!
Recently, Sheryl Crow said this is what caused her breast cancer. It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue. Sheryl Crow's oncologist told her that women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car. The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water. Dioxin is a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue. So do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.
This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us! Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic! Let everyone who has a wife/girlfriend/daughter know! (Personally, I think that EVERYONE should avoid this.)
This information is also being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center:
No plastic containers in microwave.
No water bottles in freezer.
No plastic wrap in microwave.
Dioxin chemicals cause cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them, as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital, was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.
He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us.
He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastic releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food.. You get the same results, only without the dioxin.
So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen, soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't as bad, but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants replaced foam containers with paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.
Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran wrap, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.

Obamanomics

An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class ...
The class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said okay, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism.
All grades would be averaged, and everyone would receive the same grade, so no one would fail, and no one would recieve an A.
After the first test the grades were averaged, and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset, and the students who studied little were happy.
But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less, and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride, too; so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the third test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased, as bickering, blame, and name calling all resulted in hard feelings, and no one would study for anyone else. All failed to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail, because the harder to succeed the greater the reward, but when a government takes all the reward away, no one will try or succeed.

Today's English Lesson

Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue. Look for some of these lessons to be repeated, because the mistakes are!

I see this one everywhere with increasing frequency, and it's really grating on my nerves.
"Every day" vs. "everyday" (one word or two?)
"Every day" means each day taken separately. (Two words indicates when.) As in "I'll exercise "every day."
"Everyday" means ordinary, humdrum, routine. (One word is an adjective used to describe.) As in an "everyday event." And that is the ONLY time it is one word!

Obama Signs Presidential Determination Allowing Palestinians Loyal to Hamas to Resettle in U.S.

The above was not a headline (but should have been)!
Here is yet another unilateral action taken by our new President, for which we must rely upon the information of friends to discover. I wonder how the "Jewish" block of Democratic voters now feels about their choice for President.
Try to tell the American people that Obama doesn't have ties to the Islamic terrorist world. Obama funds $20 mil. taxpayer dollars to immigrate Hamas refugees to the US.
This is the news that didn't make the headlines ...
By executive order, Obama has ordered the expenditure of $20.3 mil. in migration assistance to the Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza. The "presidential determination," which allows hundreds of thousands of Palestinians with ties to Hamas to resettle in the United States, was signed on January 27 and appeared in the Federal Register on February 4.
Few on Capitol Hill took note that the order provides a free ticket to individuals who have displayed their overwhelming support of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in the parliamentary election of January 2006.
A review of Obama's most recent actions since he was inaugurated:
His first call to any head of state as President was to Mahmoud Abbas, leader of Fatah party in the Palestinian territory.
His first one-on-one interview with any news organization was with Al Arabia television.
He ordered Guantanamo Bay closed and all military trials of detainees halted.
He ordered all overseas CIA interrogation centers closed. He withdrew all charges against the masterminds behind the USS Cole and 9/11.
Now we learn that he is allowing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refuges to move to and live in the US at American taxpayer expense.
