The Benefits of Blackstrap
Blackstrap molasses is a sweetener that is actually good for you. Unlike refined white sugar and corn syrup, which are stripped of virtually all nutrients except simple carbohydrates (or artificial sweeteners like saccharine or aspartame, which not only provide no useful nutrients but have been shown to cause health problems in sensitive individuals), blackstrap molasses is a healthful sweetener that contains significant amounts of a variety of minerals that promote your health.

Ready to Give Up Your Guns?
In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964.. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million "educated" people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500mil. dollars. The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!
It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that, too!
While figures over the previous 25 years have shown a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past twelve months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. [Duh!] The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note, my fellow Americans, before it's too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.
With guns . . . we are "citizens."
Without them . . . we are "subjects."
During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade America, because they knew most Americans were armed!
Admiral Yamamoto, who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor, had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 and was Naval Attaché to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor, and our army had been deprived of funding and was ill prepared to defend the country.
It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U.S. Mainland, Yamamoto's reply was that he had lived in the U.S. and knew that almost all households had guns.

Today's English Lesson
Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue. Look for some of these lessons to be repeated, because the mistakes are!
"Wave" as a noun is a hand gesture or a water movement or a way to style hair. And it is also used to indicate a trend, as in the "wave of the future." And it can refer to weather, as in a "cold wave," or radio "waves."
"Wave" as a verb is the act of motion with the hand or perhaps a flag or any other object that is movable. "Waver" is used interchangeably with "vacillate."
"Waive" is to voluntarily relinquish one's rights to something. In legal terminology, it is set down as a "waiver."
There are more meanings of these words, but these are the most common usages.

Mom Entrepreneurs—Leverage Yourselves! by Glen Snethun
You need some extra money each month, and you're thinking of
starting a new business. You know deep down that you have
what it takes to do almost anything. But you're torn.
You're not sure you have the time to undertake a residence
business. The financial investment, the time
investment . . . is it feasible?
But one thing's for sure—you
know that you have the talent and ability to sink your
teeth into something. But what?
If this describes you, I am here to tell you that the
easiest way to leverage your time and investment is by
examining business opportunities that use the Internet.
The Internet has truly revolutionalized stay-at-home
entrepreneurship.
Think about it. Your options as to the type of business
you can do are limitless. You can connect to
entrepreneurial endeavors around the globe. You have
access to people, products, and business opportunities
throughout the world that in the past were unattainable.
And think of start up costs. Your overhead and daily
operation costs will be a fraction of the old "brick and
mortar" businesses. For mothers wanting to have their own
enterprises, this kind of leverage can equate to thousands
per month.
Leverage your time. Start by looking methodically for a
business opportunity that leverages your time. Look for
one where you don't have to call family and friends, you
don't have to manage and train a downline, you don't have
to maintain an inventory, you don't have to have monthly
sales volumes.
Next, look for an opportunity that also leverages your
money. Make sure your commissions are in the $1,000 per sale
range, and that it is
a "direct-sales" model, nothing with levels. Further, make sure your
product and service is in a lucrative and relevant
industry!
Mothers, there are companies out there like this to align
yourself with—trust me!
If you're still waffling, why haven't you committed?
Haven't found the right product, the right company or the
right idea? For 99% of you, the answer is NO. The excuses
come in the form of, "I don't have the money," or "I don't
have the time."
My advice? Examine what you're saying to yourself. If you
really do have a desire to do something from home, be aware
of the excuses you pitch to yourself.
If start-up cash is an issue, do what it takes to attract
the money into your life that you need to get started. Have
a garage sale. Sell that "toy" you don't really need. Use a
credit card. Ask friends or family for a small investment
in your talents. First make the decision . . . then the money
will flow.
Consider the subject of time. Time is something we all
have an equal amount of. Be wise in selecting a business
that leverages your time—that is little time in, lots of
financial reward out! Again, there are those businesses out
there!
You owe it to yourself to leverage your time and money.
You also owe it to yourself to get something started from
home, using the Internet and that meets the criteria you've
established. Make a decision. Don't allow anything or
anyone stop you from realizing your dreams. Give yourself
permission to succeed.

The following is a Bible expository on Acts 14:8-10

And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who had never walked:
This was a hard case. It wasn't that he hurt his foot yesterday and was beginning to limp. No this guy had never walked in his life. The whole town knew it.
Acts 14:9 — The same heard Paul speak: who steadfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
"The same heard Paul speak"
Paul was preaching the gospel and this man heard him. Paul was preaching the word.
2 Timothy 4:2 — "Preach the word"
Paul was preaching faith.
1 — Romans 10:17 — "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
2 — "who steadfastly beholding him and perceiving that he had faith to be healed"
Paul was staring at this man. Why? Because the Holy Ghost was telling Paul about this man. The Spirit of God was telling Paul this man had faith to be healed. Paul was preaching faith, that healing was part of the Covenant.
"Perceiving" — one meaning of which is "to see," the other "to know."
Refer to Matthew 9:4 "And Jesus knowing their thoughts" — and
to Matthew 12:25 "And Jesus knew their thoughts" — and to Mark 12:15 "But he, knowing their hypocrisy . . . "
"Healed" — to save, deliver, make whole, preserve safe from danger, loss, destruction.
This was no doubt an example of the manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit, not the healing of the man, for that was by simply hearing the word of faith. It was the "perception" or "knowledge" that this man had faith to be healed. This was the manifestation of the word of wisdom or the word of knowledge, perhaps both.
1 Corinthians 12:8 — "For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit."
The word of wisdom was the perception of his condition: "he had faith to be healed." The word of knowledge was what to do with it.
Acts 14:10 — "Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked."
There are a few very powerful elements of the New Covenant at work in this passage which cannot be denied:
1 — Paul was preaching the gospel which included healing.
2 — Faith comes by hearing faith. Paul was preaching faith.
3 — The man in the crowd heard the gospel, the word of faith, that God wants us healed.
4 — The Holy Ghost told Paul about it, and the rest is history. Praise God!
