PSORIASIS

BIRTHING AN IDEA

It occurs to me that coming up with a fruitful idea is akin to conceiving a child. Both activities may take many tries. Sometimes you get lucky the first time. Other times it takes repeated effort. You try and try, but no luck.

So then you pull back and relax and forget the whole thing for awhile. And it's just at this point that it happens!

In other words, you do your part consciously. And when you stop trying so hard, that's when God takes over and fills in the blanks.

There is a book that everyone should read. It's called "Let Go and Let God," by Albert E. Cliffe. You can get it at Amazon for $8.80, and it's worth every penny.

In essence, if we will do our part, God automatically will do His. But we have to let it go first, because of the fact that He gave us free will. And that's why our destinies are in our own hands.

There is a little poem that I've published before, but it's worth including here:

TODAY'S ENGLISH LESSON


Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue.

Learn the difference between "track" and "tract."

"Track," as a noun, can refer to footprints, train rails, telltale signs, a trail, a race course, etc. As a verb, "track" means to keep tabs on, or to follow or monitor, or to "track" up a floor with muddy shoes, for instance.

"Tract" is always a noun and generally refers to a piece of real property, but it also can mean a pamphlet, political or religious. And it also can refer to a system of body organs, such as the alimentary tract, for example.

Which Affiliate Program is For Real?

Affiliate programs are big business on the Internet; however, many are not what they seem. I have become a victim many times after signing up with an affiliate program, only to find after promoting it every day for months, I had not made a single dime.

Be aware of "Get Rich Quick Schemes." These are those blown out of proportion ads you see all the time, promising thousands of dollars overnight. Check to see what you need to do to sign up. Some are free to join with an upgrade available for a few dollars a month, but high dollar amounts indicate you are about to be ripped off!

Look to see if there is an address, e-mail, or some way of contacting the owner of this program. Then e-mail them with your questions and see if you get a response. If they take the time to respond with legitimate answers, then it may be safe.

Look for website errors, as spelling, word choice, working links, etc. These errors indicate a rip off, or someone who does not really care. Do not think that all affiliate programs must use a paid website. I work from my home and use a free website, because I simply want to save on my costs.

Ask yourself if you can advertise your own programs or website here and if what they are selling is worth promoting. Does their product fit in with your interests and what you are already selling? What will your commissions be? Is it going to be enough to make a difference in your income?

Consult your associates and friends to see if they have heard of this program and its reputation. Above all, read between the lines, and read the fine print.

Many affiliate programs have a lot of reading and may repeat themselves to confuse the reader. A program that beats around the bush rather than coming to the point is one to watch out for and be suspicious about.

2. Write a sizzling book title including benefits. You have 8 seconds to hook your potential buyer. While an eBook cover doesn't need fancy graphics you will want to create one that can be printed both in color and black and white. It must be easy to see and read. Your title and cover should compel your audience to buy.

3. Write a thirty-second "tell and sell." You only have a few seconds to impress your potential buyer. Include your title, a few benefits, and the audience. 5. Write your eBook's introduction. Include the problem your audience has, why you wrote the book, and its purpose. In a few paragraphs include more specific benefits, and how you will present it (format). Keep it under a page. Your introduction will help you write your sales letter.

6. Create a table of contents. Each chapter should have a name, preferably a catchy one. If your reader can't understand the chapter title, then annotate it. Add some benefits or a sub title. In my first chapter called "Why Write an eBook?" I added this partial list of benefits: Ongoing lifelong multiple streams of income, credibility as the expert, products sell easily online, buyers are more targeted and hence you create more profit.

7. Reach out to opinion molders. After an initial contact of asking for feedback, resend them the same chapter and the table of contents of your book. Ask for a testimonial then. These influential contacts' testimonials will help promote your eBook Online.
