Prelude . . . What can I say about today's events? What can anyone say? We can excoriate the cowards from now on, but that's not going to change anything. The only thing that's going to change anything is to restore our country to its Christian roots, from the educational system to the courtrooms, from Hollywood to the Internet.

Moral decay is rampant, not only in our country, but throughout the world, and that which is evil is called good, and that which is good is called evil, just as the Bible predicted. Today's tragedies are but the beginning of the times prophesied in the Bible, and anyone who doesn't see that is sporting a heavy set of blinders.

Anyone who thinks he knows better, I challenge you to obtain a copy of Grant Jeffrey's book and/or video, "The Signature of God." Our Lord has hidden messages in the Bible, which, before the age of computers, men have only suspected, and a few others have glimpsed in bits and snatches.

Computers, however, with their super-human abilities to sift and analyze, are able to reveal things that it would take the human mind centuries (if ever) to find. Go ahead, take the challenge—get Grant Jeffrey's book and/or video and see for yourself!

And let's pray for the injured and the families of the victims. It is too late for the slain. Let it not be for you also.

If what I write here offends some, so be it. I believe what I believe in, and I'll stand to the end!

Smile!

Our little ezine is growing, and you can help by introducing 'elf Expressions to just one other person. That way we can grow even faster, and the faster we grow, the more everyone benefits from their ads.

There are two kinds of people on earth today,
Just two kinds of people, no more, I say.

Not the good and the bad, for 'tis well understood
The good are half bad, and the bad are half good.

Not the rich and the poor, for to count a man's wealth
You must first know the state of his conscience and health.

Not the humble and proud, for in life's busy span
Who puts on vain airs is not counted a man.

No, the two kinds of people on earth I mean
Are the people who LIFT and the people who LEAN!

Wherever you go, you will find the world's masses
Are ever divided in just these two classes.

And strangely enough you will find, too, I ween,
There is only one LIFTER to twenty who LEAN.

In which class are you? Are you easing the load
Of overtaxed LIFTERS who toil down the road?

Or are you a LEANER who lets others bear
Your portion of worry and labor and care?

Hi everyone! My name is Nancy Kramer, and I've been a network marketer for six years now. I'm thirty-eight years old and have been married to my sweetie, Athan, for seven years. He's in the U.S. Coast Guard, which means we move a LOT—three times in those seven years! So to us, home is where the Coast Guard sends you. We have two sons, Daniel and Aaron, two dogs—Jake and Ted, and two cats—Otis and Shadow. All boys—I'm surrounded!

I began looking at starting a home business when we were stationed in Alaska and my husband was on a buoy tender, which means he was "out to sea" much of the time. The darkness, isolation, and cold, combined with the relatively poor job market, made working from home really the only option.

Oddly, though, the event that was truly the catalyst for my networking career was the time I came down with a severe staph infection and was nearly flown off the island for medical care in Seattle. On the advice of someone I'd been corresponding with on the internet, I joined a health and wellness company and, to make a long story short, turned my health around with their products.

Unfortunately, although the products were great, the company wasn't—and it folded in April of 1999. Just prior to that, another online colleague had sent me information on a little company called LifeTek. So I looked at LifeTek and joined them that very month.

Although I certainly wasn't an overnight success—who is, anyway?—I'm now a "Diamond" earning a nice, full-time income—more than my husband! The majority of my income stems from internet sales from my website, http://www.extrapureair.com, rather than the "traditional" networking/MLM recruiting pattern, although I do actively recruit and now have some dynamic team members, who are rapidly building strong organizations of their own and beginning to increase my income exponentially, as well.

As a Diamond, I match the paycheck of everyone I personally sponsor, plus I receive a 1.5% bonus on the entire company volume, whether it's in my downline or not. I've seen dozens of pay plans touted as "the best in the industry," but I'd bet my paycheck that nothing can beat LifeTek. I've never earned this much money having this much fun.

The support I receive from my sponsor (who is LifeTek's Distributor of the Year AND Recruiter of the Year, two years in a row!), upline, the home office staff, and even the company CEO, is nothing less than outstanding. Imagine 3-waying your prospects in to the CEO—Wow! LifeTek offers a wide variety of products, including the nutritionals that first attracted me to the company, but also the air purifiers that now comprise ninety percent of my sales, and a new personal care line. Water purifiers will be introduced in October.

LifeTek is truly a business that has something for everyone, full or part time, no matter how you choose to build your business. I'm proud to be a member of the LifeTek family and invite you to take a look at our motley crew to see how YOU might fit in. We'd love to have you! C'mon by and say howdy!

FEATURE ARTICLE

MARKETING: MASSIVE EFFORT=MASSIVE RESULTS

There are two ways to create massive marketing results:

  • Massive sweat investment.
  • Massive money investment.

You have to decide which resource you have more of, sweat or money.

If you have more sweat, your marketing plan should consist of:

  • physically hanging up a lot of signs promoting your business and/or products.
  • physically hanging up a lot of "pull tabs" with your contact information.
  • physically placing flyers on vehicles.
  • physically placing "drop boxes" in appropriate locations.
  • physically handing out flyers wherever you go.

If you have more money, your marketing plan should consist of:

  • buying email leads from reliable, proven sources and working those leads.
  • buying classified advertising space in appropriate newspapers.
  • paying hired help to hang the signs, the pull tabs, place the flyers and drop boxes, and hand out flyers, as described above.

The massive part comes in the quantity and intensity you apply to these two methods.

A BIBLE RIDDLE A DAY

"Bag" the food. "Bag" the vegetables. Get a "bag" of apples.
To kidnap someone in the 20's, 30's and 40's was to "bag" them.
I used to take a "bag" lunch to school (do they still do this?).
There used to be a comic who did his routine with a "bag" over his head.

Answer this IF you can: Who once spoke of his sins being put in a bag??

ANSWER: JOB! "My transgression is sealed up in a bag,
and thou sewest up mine iniquity." Job 14:17

The sovereignty of nature has been allotted
to the silent forces.
The moon makes not the faintest echo of a noise,
yet it draws millions of tons of
tidal waters to and fro at its bidding.
We do not hear the sun rise, nor the planets set.
So, too, the dawning of the greatest moment in a man's life
comes quietly, with none to herald it to the world.
In that Stillness alone is born the knowledge of the Overself.
The gliding of the mind's boat into the lagoon
of the spirit is the gentlest thing I know;
it is more hushed than the fall of eventide."

--Dr. Paul Brunton

TODAY'S CHUCKLE

In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and somber. "I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he said as he surveyed the worried faces.

"The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, semi-risky, and you will have to pay for the brain yourselves."

The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain and $200 for a female brain."

The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man, unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the male brain so much more?"

The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and to the entire group said, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've been used."

EDITOR'S NOTE: Sorry, guys—just couldn't resist!

There is no such thing as a shaky situation,

don't look around you for the fault:

It's the inner-ground you're standing on that isn't solid.

TODAY'S ENGLISH LESSON

Seeing the same elementary mistakes over and over again has prompted this publisher to write an English lesson each issue.

Here's one that we need be concerned with only occasionally, as neither or these words has "high" usage:

"Callous" vs. "callus"—which is used for what?

"Callous" means vain, cold, emotionally hardened, and unfeeling.

If someone is "calloused," he is unfeeling and indifferent.

"Callus" means a hard, toughened spot on hands or feet.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Robert Frost—The Road Not Taken, 1916

INTERNET HINTS & TIPS

Want to rank well with your pages in Google?

Follow these guidelines:

  • Create a really good site.
  • Make sure that the text describes what your page is about.
  • Make sure the site is useful.
  • Pick specific keywords for your site, not common words.
  • Consider purchasing AdWords.
With Google:
  • Do NOT send them automated queries during business hours— PST
  • Don't cloak. Really. (their words—not mine)
  • Don't create domains, subdomains, or doorway pages with substantially the same content.
  • Be careful about where you link. (Don't participate in "link exchange programs" or "link farms.")
  • Don't use immediate redirects.
  • Don't hide text.
  • Don't keyword stuff.
Google has begun to really crack down on what it perceives to be spamming. So work hard at getting rid of problem areas and play it straight.

Google gives more priority and more weight to sites Googlebot finds on its own.

Google:

  • Crawls the text of PDF, dynamic pages, ASP, JSP, CFM, and PHP.
  • Crawls newsgroups.
  • Does not crawl Flash.
  • Treats "Skip intro" pages as redirects.

PUZZLER:

Q: Can you find what is so unusual about this paragraph?
It looks so ordinary that you would think nothing is wrong with it at all. And nothing is, but it is distinctly odd and unusual. If you look at it for a bit you may find out what is so unusual about it. Look through this paragraph again, study thoroughly, and you may find what is missing. Most folks can do it in half an hour, but can you do it in half of that? Now you can say what it is . . .

A: It has no e's, and e is the most common letter of the alphabet.

Great men are they who see that
spiritual is stronger than any material force,
that thoughts rule the world.

STARTBLAZE vs. NOMOREHITS -- WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU ??

This article is available at StartBlaze.v.NoMoreHits@1ClickProfitSt.com

============================================

Free promotion that really works!

We all want it, don't we?

And now there's a new kid on the block, so let's compare StartBlaze with NoMoreHits, which has been around for a few months now.

Both services bring you free traffic based on total browser openings in your group. It's the MLM concept. And you have to set your browser to open at their site so they can send you ads each time. I've been with NoMoreHits for a while, and it's astonishing the stuff that pops up—some of it very good.

Firstly, why those names?

SB: The StartBlaze idea is to start a blaze of traffic.
NMH: Here it's How To Get Your Web Host Screaming "Stop These Visitors, NoMoreHits.com"

For every six times you open your browser, what do you get?

SB = 1 hit. (Ratio is 1:6, ie. 1 visitor to 6 browser openings).
NMH = 3 visitors. (Ratio is 1:2, ie. 1 visitor to 2 openings).

For 100 browser openings in your downline, how many hits do you get?

SB = With their 1:6 ratio, it's 16.
NMH = With their 1:2 ratio, it's 50.

How many levels deep are counted?

SB = 4.
NMH = 5.

If you have about a HUNDRED in your group, how many visitors does this bring you (using the examples, numbers and assumptions from their websites)?

SB = With you + 10 + 100 = 111, you'd get 111 visitors.
At that ratio (1:1), 100 in your group would mean 100 visitors.

NMH = With you + 15 + 60 = 76 in your group, you'd get 8 + 12 + 48 = 68 visitors per day.
At that ratio (76:68), 100 in your group would mean 89 visitors.

If you have about a THOUSAND in your group, how many visitors does this bring?

SB = With you + 10 + 100 + 1000 = 1111, you'd get 1111 hits.
At that ratio (1:1), 1000 in your group would bring you 1000 visitors.

NMH = With 1 + 15 + 60 + 240 + 960 = 1276 in your group, you'd get 8 + 12 + 48 + 192 + 778 = 1038 visitors.
At that ratio (1276:1038), 1000 in your group would bring you 813 visitors.

Great, but below StartBlaze.

Anything else? No width limits to either. Plus:

SB = maximum 30 browser openings per person per day, to stop abuse.

NMH = 50 credits (25 visitors) for joining. And you can buy more traffic. So can your downline —and you get 10% of the traffic credits they buy, too.

Although I'm no mathematician (and I'll publish a correction in my ezine if someone can show this isnt right), here's where it comes out for me.

Conclusions:

1. Be sure you join one of them.

2. http://nomorehits.com/cgi-bin/start.cgi?referrer=1clickp produces results quicker (25 visitors just for joining).

3. If you plan to build a larger group and can wait for the bigger rewards, go with StartBlaze.

4. Me? I've moved over to Startblaze, http://www.startblaze.com/cgi-bin/start.cgi?53650

POST SCRIPT: When Virginia Duan from StartBlaze saw an earlier version of this article, she wrote to me saying:

"Hi Gary,

I recently saw your article online about StartBlaze vs. No More Hits. I wanted to clarify some of the information about the two services.

StartBlaze has changed the terminology from "traffic credits" to "hits." The conversion rate is: 1 traffic credit = 1 hit. For NoMoreHits, 2 traffic credits = 1 hit. In other words, for every traffic credit with NMH, you earn half a hit.

When you look at the downlines, SB gives you credit for 100% of your downline's hits. So, if your downline earns 100 hits, you get 100 additional hits.

However, for NMH, you receive 10% of your downline's traffic credits—so if your downline earns 100 traffic credits, you get 10 traffic credits, which converts into 5 hits.

I know that you have already decided to go with StartBlaze, but I hope this new information will show you that StartBlaze really is a much better deal than NoMoreHits.

Thank you for your time.

All the best,

Last week I introduced two new traffic programs:

http://www.profitjump.com/rbot/start.html
http://www.profitjump.com/nomorehits/

Do they work? Well, let's see . . .

Startblaze gives me 1,347 hits, while Nomorehits sends me 412 hits.

In just one week I've earned more than 1,700 hits, and I still receive over 200 hits everyday.

Not bad at all. :-)

INSPIRATION

"DESIDERATA"
(Found in Old St. Paul's Church, Baltimore—Dated 1692)

Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly & clearly, and listen to others, even the dull & ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always, there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere, life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity & disenchantment, it is perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit, to shield you in sudden misfortune.

But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And, whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.
